Oak and Vetiver Scented Candle

Our Oak and Vetiver Scented Candle is a divine fragrance reminiscent of vintage cologne, with its heart of rich sweet tobacco, warm spices and a hint of cognac. Smoky woods of oak, ebony and incense combined with dark musks complete this opulent and mysterious scent.

Our Eco Commitment

Our eco-friendly vegan candles are paraben-free and cruelty-free. You can be sure that no animal products have been used or animal testing has occurred during manufacture.

We use a 100% pure blend of rapeseed and coconut wax, our vegan candles contain no additives, soy or beeswax.

Each candle has a cotton wick.

All candle glasses are widely recyclable. All packaging and labels are made from recyclable FSC-certified cards and inks. All parcels are filled with biodegradable eco-packing peanuts that dissolve in water.

I absolutely adore everything that Olivia Michael Candle produce but for some reason it took me a while to discover this scent. It’s glorious and I fail to see how you couldn’t like it - sophisticated but somehow very warm too. I love walking into the room and smelling this.

How do I store my candles safely?

To maintain their quality, keep candles out of the reach of children and pets, away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place.

Are your candles cruelty-free and vegan?

Yes, all our candles are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We use a blend of rapeseed and coconut wax with no additives, soy, or palm oil, ensuring sustainable and ethical production.

Should I burn my candle to the very end?

No, always leave at least 5mm of wax at the bottom of the container. Burning the candle completely may cause the glass to overheat or crack.

How long can I burn a candle at one time?

Do not burn your candle for more than four hours in one sitting. Overburning can cause uneven wax pools and overheating of the glass.

Why does my candle have dimples or cracks in the wax?

These aesthetic imperfections are normal for natural plant wax candles like ours, which are made with a blend of rapeseed and coconut wax. They don’t affect the candle's performance and are a unique charm of vegan waxes.

Where should I place my candle for safe use?

Always place your candle on a heatproof surface and keep it away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and droughts. This prevents overheating and keeps the candle burning evenly.

What is a mushroom wick, and how do I prevent it?

A "mushroom wick" is a buildup of carbon at the tip of the wick after burning. Always remove this before each burn to prevent wild flames and excess soot.

How long does it take for the fragrance to fill the room?

Allow approximately 30 minutes for the scent to spread throughout the room. Essential oil candles may take slightly longer due to their natural, slower-releasing compounds.

How long should I burn my candle the first time?

Burn your candle for at least 4 hours during the first use. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even wax pool. Don’t worry about minor hang-ups on the glass during the first few burns; they will even out.

Why should I trim my candle wick?

Always trim your wick to 5mm before lighting your candle. Long wicks can create high flames, lead to uneven burning, and cause sooting, affecting safety and candle longevity.
