Why have my diffuser reeds lost their smell?

Reeds may lose their scent over time and might require flipping to refresh the fragrance. If you can no longer smell your diffuser, simply flip the reeds so that the opposite ends are submerged in the liquid. We use fiber reeds and recommend you flip them every 1 to 2 weeks. When handling fragrance oil, use disposable gloves. If the oil comes into contact with your skin, wash it off immediately with soapy water.

How often should I turn the reeds?

For the best results, ensure the reeds are fully saturated. Turn the reeds once after the first 24 hours and then every 1 to 2 weeks to maintain optimal fragrance diffusion. If you prefer a stronger scent, you can turn the reeds more regularly. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after handling them and consider wearing gloves.

What can I do if the fragrance throw seems weak?

If the scent seems weak, try turning the reeds more frequently. Ensure the diffuser is placed in an area with good airflow but away from drafts, which can disperse the scent too quickly.

How can I prevent damage to my reed diffuser?

To prolong the lifespan of your reed diffuser and maintain a consistent scent throw, keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources that can cause the liquid to evaporate too quickly.

How many reeds should I use in a diffuser?

We recommend starting with 6 to 7 reeds in your diffuser. If the scent is too strong for your liking, you can remove a few reeds for a subtler fragrance.

Where should I place my reed diffuser?

Place your reed diffuser on a stable surface. Avoid placing it on polished, painted, plastic, or leather surfaces, as any accidental spillage may damage these materials. For safety reasons, do not place the diffuser on or near electrical equipment.

Can I Refill a Reed Diffuser?

Yes! All our reed diffuser vessels can be refilled multiple times with a reed diffuser refill. Just clean your vessel with soapy water before refilling it and add a new set of reeds. You can choose to stick with your favorite scent or mix and match to find a new fragrance you enjoy.

Are reed diffusers safe to use around cats and dogs?

Although we haven't tested our products on animals, reed diffusers are generally safe to use around pets when the provided instructions are followed. Ensure that the diffuser is placed on a flat, stable surface and kept out of pets' reach to prevent it from being knocked over or tampered with.

Are reed diffusers safe for use during pregnancy?

We are not aware of any adverse effects associated with using reed diffusers during pregnancy. However, if you have concerns, we recommend consulting your midwife or doctor. Are reed diffusers safe to use?

While our reed diffusers are safe when used properly, always handle them with care.

A 100ml reed diffuser can last up to 8 weeks or sometimes longer. Several factors can influence this duration, including airflow, ambient humidity, temperature, and the number of reeds used. The fragrance may diminish quickly at first as the reeds absorb the scent, but this should slow down once the reeds are fully saturated.

Note that drafts and temperature can impact the diffuser's performance; while drafts help distribute the scent throughout your home, they may also shorten the diffuser's lifespan since increased airflow speeds up absorption.

How long will my reed diffuser last?

The lifespan of your reed diffuser depends on various factors, including the number of reeds used, the room's temperature, and humidity levels. On average, our reed diffusers last a minimum of 8 weeks. However, it is challenging to provide an exact duration as they are influenced by environmental factors such as the ambient temperature, open doors, dehumidifiers, and air conditioning.

What is the base of your reed diffusers made from?

Our vegan-friendly diffuser base is derived from non-GMO plant oils. It complies with the stringent non-GMO standards and regulations of EC 1829/2003 and 1830/2003. None of the processing aids used in its production contain or consist of GMOs, and they are not produced from GMOs.

Additionally, no antioxidants, preservatives, nanomaterials, glycol ethers, or animal products have been used at any stage of manufacture, nor has any animal testing been conducted.

Our suppliers work with the best European perfumers who harvest and expertly blend the finest ingredients to create safe fragrances explicitly designed for reed diffusers.

Are your reed diffusers cruelty-free and vegan?

Yes, all our reed diffusers are 100% vegan, cruelty-free and responsibly sourced.

Each reed diffuser glass is widely recyclable. All packaging and labels are made from recyclable FSC-certified materials and inks. We fill all parcels with biodegradable eco-packing peanuts that dissolve in water.

Do you use essential oils?

We have intentionally chosen to work with high-quality fragrance oils designed to be used in reed diffusers.

All of our fragrances are free of phthalates and parabens, as well as many other undesirable chemicals. Although we have used essential oils in the past, we focus on fragrance oils specifically formulated for safe use in reed diffusers.
